Brake upgrade stages:

Stage 1: E32 fronts
Stage 2: E28 M5/ E24 M6 fronts
Stage 3: E32 fronts, E34 solid rears
Stage 4: E28 M5/ E24 M6 fronts, E34 solid rears
Stage 5: E32 fronts, E34/E32 vented rears
Stage 6: E28 M5/ E24 M6 fronts, E34/E32 vented rears
Stage 7: E34 M5 all around
Stage 8: E31 front, E34/E32 vented rears
Stage 9: E34 Euro(Nurburgring brakes)

I believe that all these upgrades will fit as long as you have 16 inch or larger wheels.
