Message: I'm heading to San Francisco in August for a few days. The last time I was in SF was 1976 so am looking for recommendations!

Specifically,

1. Where to stay downtown (I want to be downtown in the middle of the action).

2. Things to do (I'll have 2 full days and one half day). (I've already have Napa on the agenda).
