Message: I think this is a feature, not a flaw. on German cars at least MB and BMW I think the engineering reason behind this is that they feel you are an engaged enough driver to know how activate and deactivate the cruise control. I hate it when I rent or drive other cars where I have to flip a switch and then engage cruise.

Personal preference, but I side with the BMW and MB engineers on
this one.

Remember, a quick tap on the brake will disengage!
