| Message: | I have a 1995 530i, threw a Check Engine light yesterday. The code is 1212 - O2 sensor 2. It very well could be a bad sensor, but I've also read that it could be an intake leak. Short question, does anyone know where to find a good diagram of the intake manifold and oil separator? Here's where the post gets long . . . One post on Roadfly mentioned that it could be a leak at the oil separator, but I'm not really sure where that is, I think it is at the back of the Intake Manifold, but I cannot find a good picture (this is operator error, can anyone steer me to a good pic?) The back of the intake manifold is COVERED in oil, so I would say that a leak at the back is good possibility, and that it involves the crank case vent/oil separator (whatever the proper BMW name is). This seems like a reasonable explanation, and it would cost less than replacing the O2 sensors - and it's leaking anyhow. Any help with HOW TO would be much appreciated. | ||||
