Difference between e34 and e31

Message:

The other car under cover in my garage is my '91 850i which
has "Toll Windows" an all 4 including the sunroof.

The E34 drivers side only requires one light touch and
the window goes all the way up or down.

The E31 must be held up or down for about 1/2 second
to keep it going, but...., this will not work on
my E34 535.

Operator Error!!!
