| Message: | This is my first time insterting an image for discussion purposes so I hope this works. I'm provided comparions of the strut mounts on the E36(upper) and M3 (lower) in the link immediately below. It's clear they're different. The E36 is a circle while the M3's has a unique shape to it. Of course, hole and thread locations are the same so I'm able to mount the M3 assembly as shown in link below. At issue: Since the M3 strut mount is not cylindrical, is there some preferred form with respect to how this thing ought to be mounted? NOTE: Photo depicts right side (drivers) strut assembly. In the photo you should be able to see the arrow with the label "R" pointed at the far right hole bolt/hole location. An aside: My auto is a 93 325i, however, I'm curious to see the setup on an M3. The strut assembly was pulled off a 98 M3 | ||||
