| Message: | The M3 springs/shocks/struts will bolt on OK, but U may not get the results U want/expect. First, the caster and camber of an M3 are part of the great handling, and those are defined by unique M3 offset strut mounts and control arm bushings, which are also different between '95 and '96-later M3s. If U go ahead and use the '98 parts, I suggest that U get matching '98 strut mounts and CABs. Second, the M3 swaybars are different (thinner on M3s) and the fronts attach via up-links to the strut instead of down-links the control arm. Get these if U want closer to M3 handling. I recently changed '98 323is (M-sport) to '98 M3 suspension, including all above changes. Much improved handling and less harsh ride than the stiff, M-sport. However, the used '98 M3 springs unexpectedly raised the car almost an inch (maybe close to stock). M-sport and M3 were supposed to be the same height. If I were doing it again, I'd go with all '95 M3 suspension parts instead of '98 to get even more caster and camber.
