Message: Hi folks,

I'm visiting from the e24 board. I'm looking at a '97 e36 328i automatic with a bad transmission and would like your advice on possible trans. options. My questions are:

- is it possible to convert it to a 5-speed, and if so what do I need?
- Any good options for a used trans, or would you recomend not going wtih a used one?

The car's clean, one owner for the past 10 years. 127k miles. Black/gray interior. I'm considering buying it as a winter car (my e24's my garage queen, summer only!).
