need tips on removing control arm (53 views) (130 thread views) 
Message: Hi all,

I'm trying to remove/replace the front struts on my e30 and am having trouble removing the ball joint attached to the control arm. The tie rod came out no problem. I have a pickle fork but no matter how hard I it it doesn't budge. I'm already a little bummed since I ripped the boot already.
Any tips on how to get the control arm off the strut (angle of hitting the pickle fort etc.)
I know you guys know.
