People have turbo'd the M20 with good results, but my guess is that a turbo pushing any serious boost would grenade an otherwise stock M20, most of which have 100,000 miles-plus on them by now.
If you build up an M20 stroker motor with a forged crank, etc., it'll last, but it'll cost as much as swapping in a motor from an E36M3, which is 240HP bone stock.
