Message: I didn't want to go the engine swap route because the of the extra expense. I live in Western Canada and we ship all our wrecked e36 cars down to the US...it is even hard to find e30s in the junk yards. I would have to ship all the parts from the US and that would get very expensive. I would guess between $7000-$12000 if I wanted to do it right with an S50/S52 and replacing the driveline and brakes also.

What i'm looking for is a street car with 200hp+ hp that is still reliable. Is that possible with the M20 without stroking it?
