| Message: | Yeah, that was it: She runs just great, again. A couple of closure-type items: The distributor cap probably cracked due to the deterioration of its black plastic cover: the same bolts secure both the cap and the lower half of the distributor cover, and it looks like the thin plastic around one of the holes in the cover had sort of chipped loose, widening the hole and leaving a lot of slack on that bolt. Hell of a lot of impact for a $5 junkyard part. Probably the only clue that this was a problem with the ignition, and not with the fuel system (a clue that I missed), was the fact that the motor was running a little hot (maybe 5 degrees on the gauge); aside from that, it certainly looked and felt like a mixture problem, and we spent a lot of time barking up the wrong tree.
