Really stupid question (3699 views) (41469 thread views)
Message: I've got an '88 325ic that (still) won't start, and I need to meter stuff at the ECU (I've checked just about everything under the hood). My question is (and this is where I start to feel REALLY dumb): How do I get the damn ECU connector off? (I've removed the retaining screw on the right side of the connector and swung the metal lever to the left; this allows the left side of the connector to pivot outwards, but the right side remains attached to the ECU, hinged on the black metal bracket from which I removed the retaining screw.) I don't want to get barbaric by really tugging on this thing; can somebody please tell me what I've missed? (Then burn this message.)
Neil
