Message:

A replacement CD changer is required for an '00 E39 equipped
with the Business Radio and DSP. (The changer must have the
3-pin and SPDIF coax cable connectors to be compatible with
the other existing OEM components.)

An updated BMW MP3-capable changer was purchased, but this uses
3-pin and 6-pin cable connectors. It is incompatible with the
'00 DSP components.

The OEM changer appears to have an AI-Bus. The updated changer
appears to have an I-Bus

Do any Roadfly members have knowledge about AI & I-Bus protocols
and whether the internal drive/changer mechanisim from the I-Bus
changer could be swapped into the AI-Bus changer's case.
