E39 amplifier power source?? (282 views) (400 thread views) 
Message: I am attempting to install a sub and amp into the trunk of my 2000 540i with nav and dsp. What I am attempting to figure out is where to get a power source. I thought I could get it from that white, plastic covered panel above the battery in the trunk, but it doesnt seem to work. Maybe I am using the wrong connection? Any ideas? Thanks
