Roundel article about iPod for e30 (231 views) (550 thread views) 
Message: Did anyone else see that article in the September issue? Basically it details how to add an auxilary jack to your stock stereo setup. I have some questions.

Do you even have to turn the receiver on to use the iPod?

Would the cassette and tuner functions of the receiver still work, or would there be some loss of sound quality due to interference of some kind?

My brother has a '95 540i. It seems likely this mod would work on his car as well, but can anyone confirm?

Thanks for any help.
