Couple of questions... (961 views) 
Message: I thought that the radio/tuner was a seperate box in the trunk on the E39 but I dont see it in the pics. I also took out my DSP amp last night and looked for a seperate radio box but didnt find anything. Do you know if the actual radio/tuner is in the dash unit on the later model E39's? (mine is an 03 also) All the posting's I have read say there should be a seperate box.

How did you connect the JL amps? Did you use LOC's to tap the signal from the headunit or radio/tuner box?
